Continuing our work for Microsoft, we partnered with the Kissd agency, who provided the creative look and feel, and Digital Kitchen, who provided the video shooting and production. Pinacol went to work over the holidays creating a Flash site experience to showcase three of Microsoft's products.
The centerpiece of the site is the videos, and in order to highlight these assets, we built a robust media player from scratch. Allowing for thumbnail views, chapters, video chapter overlays, send to a friend, chapter links, and content sensitive hotspots, the media player is a sight to behold.

Based in San Clemente, with golf courses surrounding our building, Pinacol is no stranger to the links. When Transistor Studios approached Pinacol to be the development partner on a U.S. Open / Tiger Woods website for American Express, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to mix work and pleasure. The deadline was tight as usual, with three weeks to execute from creative comps to live site, but working with Transistor and Digitas, Pinacol was able to make their creative vision a reality.
Built around footage of Tiger Woods playing a practice round at Oakmont with American Express cardholders rotating in as his caddy, the creative vision for the site had two tiers, a site structure with pages and general information on the U.S Open and American Express offers, and a predictive strategy game, where users could predict how Tiger would perform in the 2007 U.S. Open. With the chance to win tickets to next year's U.S Open tournament, as well as all day passes to experience ESPN's touring day classes, the site allowed golf enthusiasts to prove their knowledge of golf and Tiger Woods at one of the most challenging courses in the U.S. Updated throughout the tournament with Tiger's progress, as well as a leader board to track winning scores, the game allowed users to view Tiger's practice performance, and hole layouts with hole-by-hole information / strategies for playing the challenging course at Oakmont. Once the first phase was live, Pinacol started work on refining the creative for the site to prepare it for a post- U.S Open life by expanding the content sections to provide greater depth to the site as the game was removed from the Members Clubhouse.

With summer barbeque season on the way, Kikkoman wanted a way to reach new customers using an online campaign that could be promoted across various food-related Internet channels.
Pinacol developed an interactive Flash “dinner table” environment for Kikkoman, dubbed Your Teriyaki.
The site – built all in Flash – provided a set of recipes, which could be accessed using an Actionscript-driven “lazy susan” style interface – driven by a series of custom scripts developed to provide detailed distance visualization – providing the illusion that plates were really spinning back and forth, without the artwork to really back it up.
Developed over a truncated schedule (3 ½ weeks), the Kikkoman project provided a groundbreaking interface for teriyaki lovers everywhere.
We executed on: Flash – Animations, Actionscript, PHP-driven site, extensive use of sound editing/integration.

In order to promote a new season of TLC's popular Miami Ink, a reality show centered around tattoo artists, CREW/Discovery developed a new Flash-based landing page. Pinacol, working with CREW, integrated XML driven navigation / loading animation, and a Flash video player into the pre-existing Flash layout.
The XML backend allows TLC/Discovery to quickly edit images and text on the fly, which affords Discovery/TLC the oppurtunity to change the focus of their site to match the dynamic reality-based show.

When MTV and Transistor Studios approached Pinacol, the task at hand was straightforward enough—create a simple yet robust MTV Hits teaser site, to introduce the MTV Hits network by allowing users to create their own custom playlists and enter to win MTV prizes. However, with the project’s tight timeline for development, bringing the MTV Hits site to life required Pinacol’s laser-like precision and world-class creative and technical implementation.
